Shelby County Existing Business Team
The Bartlett Area Chamber is an active member in the Shelby County Existing Business Team (EBT). The EBT's mission is to create an environment that promotes the retention and expansion of local businesses by addressing existing businesses' concerns and ensuring that they receive all available assistance and incentives to encourage business growth.

- Market Research
- Low Interest Loans
- Labor Market Data
- Workforce Development
Growth Incentives such as:
- Electrical /Natural Gas incentive rates
- Job Tax Credits
- PILOT Program
- Industrial Machine Excise Tax Credits
- And many others
In addition, the State of Tennessee's "Office of Small Business Advocate" was created in 2010 by the General Assembly in an effort to provide small business with a point of contact for state government. The Advocate's duties include providing information and answering questions for Tennesseans who are thinking about starting or already own a small buisness. The Advocate serves as an informal mediator between small business owners and state government when issues involving regulatory or enforcement actions occur.
